18th Century British Royal Naval Officer’s Uniform and Nautical Decor

Captain Rupert at Sea -- Royal Navy Uniform in Pet Society

Pet Society is a fun place for period costume enthusiasts. One of our favorite outfits is the navy blue and gold colonial set which resembles the uniform of a naval officer in the late 18th century (except for the tricorne hat being blue instead of black).

This costume consists of a coat, breeches, black buckle shoes (with white stockings), and hat. This fine set of clothes is a steal at $860.

Complete the effect with nautical themed decor recently arrived in stores and the rusty anchor which can be fished out of the pond. Recommended for historians, romantics and fans of the Royal Navy. This uniform is reminiscent of films such as Persuasion (Captain Frederick Wentworth and Admiral Croft), Horatio Hornblower and Master and Commander — even though the style suggests a slightly earlier period.
